Fees

How much does it cost?
  • Interlibrary loan of books to SOM ,UNR faculty, staff and students is available at no cost to the patron. For SOM faculty and clinical faculty, UNR faculty, staff and students photocopied materials from periodicals or books are 20 cents a page and any associated copy right fees.
  • Health professionals and non-affliated physicians are charged 20 cents a page for materials held at UNR Items filled by another library are a minimum of $10.00 to $30.00 maximum charge.
  • SOM Clinical faculty are charged $10.00 for items obtained outside Nevada.
  • Nevada System of Higher Education (non-UNR) faculty , staff , and students are charged $10.00 per book or article plus associated fees, including fees assessed by lending libraries or commercial document delivery suppliers.
  • Community Borrowers , businesses, and lay people are charged $10.00 per request for book or periodical article request filled from any library in Nevada. Items borrowed from a library outside Nevada are minimum $10.00 to a maximum $30.00 charge for obtaining the item. No DDS request will proceed if fees exceed stated maximum amount. You will be contacted for approval of a higher fee.


How do I pay for materials supplied by Document Delivery services?
  • Pay for materials when picked up at the Savitt Medical Library Circulation Desk.
  • Request that the charges be added to your library card circulation record.
  • SOM, UNR faculty are billed on a quarterly basis.

Eligibility

  • Any lay person or business needing health related information.
  • School of Medicine (SOM) ,UNR faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students are eligible to use the services .
  • University and Community College of Nevada System (other than UNR) faculty , staff , or student may use the service for $10.00 per request plus any associated fees.
  • Community Borrowers or lay persons may use the services for a minimum $10.00 per request plus any associated fees.
  • Businesses may use the service for a minimum $10.00 fee plus any associated fees.
